The Parks Mall at Arlington is the destination to find most of the retail shopping available in the immediate area. The mall also has several eateries available, a movie theater and an indoor skating rink as well.

The main transit routes used to get to Arlington are Interstate 20 and Interstate 30. Arlington Heights is located off I-20, an area that hosts many of the entertainment venues in town, including the Improv Theatre, Dave and Busters, Piranha Killer Sushi and several other sites. The surrounding towns in the DFW metro area closest to Arlington include Kennedale, Hurst, Euless, Grand Prairie and Irving.

Some of the most prominent attractions located in the city are Six Flags Over Texas, the Texas Rangers’ Globe Life Park and the Dallas Cowboys’ AT&T Stadium. There are also several sites available for enjoying the performing arts, including the Theatre Arlington, Gallery at University of Texas Arlington and the Arlington Museum of Art.
