Fuller Moving Services Provides Wildfire Relief to Local Community

As our nation is getting hit with natural disasters, spreading coast to coast from Florida to California, it sheds light on how proud and fortunate we are to have the amazing agents that make up our northAmerican® team. Luckily, our agents, their teams and families are all safe and out of harm’s way – we are extremely grateful for that. We cannot put into words the admiration we have for their efforts supporting their communities, helping disaster relief efforts throughout the nation.

Fuller Moving and Storage

The Fuller family and their team at Fuller Moving Services are another example of a team that leapt into action to support their community. As many know, everyday there is more news of how much devastation the wildfires of North California have caused. In just a matter of hours, there was an overwhelming amount of loss and destruction – and the damage isn’t done. The Fuller team, led by President Nathan Fuller, immediately began organizing relief efforts. They realized they were not able to get trucks into some areas with supplies since all the major roads are closed, and were not yet able to help families with their physical loss (furniture, household items, etc.) since most families are still in shelters or staying with friends and family – so they devised a new plan. Over the weekend, they partnered up with their local high school football team, the Casa Roble Rams, and hauled truckloads of immediate necessities to an airplane hangar at the Sacramento airport. Private planes transported the items to the Santa Rosa airport, where they distributed everything to the thousands of displaced individuals and families.

Loading the truckA note from Nathan Fuller: Wendy and I personally have friends who at 1:00 am on October 9th had a knock at their door by a neighbor. When they looked outside they knew they were in grave danger and ran to get their four children to the car and flee with just pajamas on their backs. Everything is gone including their wedding rings. This is the story we hear day after day. These people are impacted more then we can imagine. These are the ones who were able to get out. Some did not. It is heartbreaking to hear the news every day. It is total devastation.”

The Fuller Moving Services team is continuing their relief efforts and planning to deliver another shipment on October 30th. If you want to support their efforts, they are collecting gift cards to support families in need – you can email Nathan here. You can also donate directly to the Red Cross here.
