“We are very grateful for the amazing support of northAmerican Van Lines,” says Gary Sinise of the Gary Sinise Foundation. “The construction of the Smart Homes has a lot of moving parts, all of which are important. With transporting furniture and appliances, northAmerican Van Lines is that final piece that ultimately helps turn a ‘house’ into a ‘home.’”

“North American Van Lines has always supported our servicemen and women that give so much in defense of our freedom,” says Andy Kroll, Vice President and General Manager of northAmerican Van Lines. “We are honored to contribute to the outstanding work done by the Gary Sinise Foundation and the RISE program in their support of our most severely wounded patriots and their families.”

The Gary Sinise Foundation supports severely wounded U.S. veterans with a number of beneficial programs, including its R.I.S.E initiative, which constructs specially adapted custom “Smart Homes” for veterans that have been severely injured in combat serving our country. Having lost multiple limbs, suffering from burns, or traumatic brain injury, the Sinise Foundation provides special “smart technology” homes, complete with "smart" furniture designed for the unique needs of these wounded veterans, at no cost to the service member or their family.
