NORTH AMERICAN VAN LINES MOVING COMPANY EXPANDS NETWORK IN THREE KEY MARKETS
CHICAGO, March 3, 2010 — North American Van Lines Inc., one of the world’s largest moving companies and a subsidiary of SIRVA Inc., announced the addition of three new van line agents in Iowa, Indiana and New Jersey.
Covering a large portion of Iowa, Hawkeye Moving Services, Inc. is an Iowa City-based moving company that will now be affiliated with the northAmerican moving network. They will continue to offer domestic, international, office and industrial moving and storage, in addition to hotel installation and rigging services.
“Many of our team members have worked under the northAmerican brand in the past, so it was an obvious fit for us,” said Dan Gerot, owner of Hawkeye Moving Services. “With our team’s extensive moving experience, combined with our new affiliation with the northAmerican network, we expect to raise the bar this year and exceed our customer satisfaction goals.”
North American Van Lines also welcomed Hoover the Mover as a new agent in Fort Wayne, Ind. Even though the agency is new to the network, Bill Raftree, owner of Hoover the Mover, and Tad Levy, general manager of Hoover the Mover, aren’t new to the northAmerican family. Both have served in operations, sales and management capacities at North American Van Lines’ corporate headquarters before branching off to start their own moving company in Fort Wayne.
“Having worked inside the northAmerican organization, we understand the advantages of becoming affiliated with the network,” explained Bill Raftree. “We’ll continue to provide exceptional domestic, international, office, logistics and industrial moving and storage services to our customers, but now we’ll have the additional support and technology that comes with this partnership.”
Also new to the northAmerican network, Twin Oaks Moving Company will now serve New Jersey and Philadelphia markets under the northAmerican brand. This full service New Jersey-based moving company specializes in consumer and military moves.
