North American Van Lines Honors Lance Bowman As 2004 Driver of the Year
CHICAGO, April 15, 2005 — North American Van Lines (NAVL), a subsidiary of global relocation services provider SIRVA, Inc., (NYSE: SIR), has recognized Lance Bowman as NAVL’s 2004 Driver of the Year at the company’s recent annual convention in Las Vegas.
The gathering attracted more than 200 agents from the entire network of NAVL agents, as well as senior executives from SIRVA and North American Van Lines. Bowman, an employee of North American Moving & Storage based in Fort Wayne, Ind., received the top driver honor based on several factors, including his outstanding safety record, pick-up and delivery record, and customer satisfaction rating.
He has been associated with NAVL for 13 years and was selected from a pool of about 1,800 drivers in the firm’s global fleet by a group of independent NAVL judges who identified 12 finalists.
“All of our drivers understand the value their precious cargo has to the families that are being relocated around the world by SIRVA,” said Dan Robertson, general manager of North American Van Lines and Global Van Lines. “Lance is truly the cream of the crop and we are extremely proud that he represents us on the roads and in communities throughout the country.”
NAVL uses a rigorous method by which it assesses eligible drivers for the award, including safety performance and individual quality scores that are based on quality review surveys performed by independent research teams that survey customers of each van operator.
In recognition of his achievement, Bowman received a plaque, watch, an all-expenses-paid trip to NAVL’s annual convention in Las Vegas, a $1,500 savings bond, and a jacket and truck decals noting his achievement.
