SIRVA Acquires Relocation Specialist PRS EUROPE
“Relocation Redefined” Expanding Throughout Europe
LONDON, January 12, 2004 – SIRVA, Inc., (NYSE: SIR), a global relocation services provider, has acquired PRS EUROPE to strengthen its relocation services offering and further expand its footprint on the European continent. PRS EUROPE will become part of SIRVA Relocation, an operating unit of SIRVA.
PRS EUROPE is the number one relocation provider in Belgium, and one of the largest in Europe, with operations across Belgium, France and The Netherlands. The company’s highly experienced management team, strong customer focus and differentiating technology makes PRS a supplier of choice to a prestigious customer base, spanning a wide range of industry sectors and including many large multi-national companies.
Its geographical coverage provides an excellent strategic fit with SIRVA Relocation’s operations throughout Europe. Through the acquisition, SIRVA will enhance its global “Relocation Redefined” strategy, providing customers with a complete package of relocation, moving and related services.
“There are excellent synergies between SIRVA and PRS EUROPE as both companies are recognized in the European market for their high quality services and qualified experts,” said Nicolas Sepulchre, former Group Managing Director of PRS EUROPE, who will assume the position of Sales and Marketing Director, SIRVA - Western Europe.
Walter Vermeeren, also a former Managing Director of PRS EUROPE, will become SIRVA’s Vice President of European Relocation Operations. “We will continue to offer tailored solutions to our customer base, and look forward to benefiting from the affiliation with the world’s premier relocation solutions company,” Vermeeren said.
